The waterfalls at Apoala is something  that you´ll not miss.

This Experience takes you to the waterfalls at Apoala, a marvel from Oaxaca located in the town of Santiago Apoala part of the Mixteca Region. This town is very beautiful and  unique since the Mixteca region is known for being dry. This town is surrounded by water from all sides: A river that crosses the town and the Waterfalls. Before exploring the waterfalls We´ll do a small hike accompanied by a local Guide from the community who will be telling us about the history and nature of the plant. There are plenty of unique plans here used for medicinal purposes the local guide will accompany during all of the experience.

The hike We´ll go through  the canyon. The canyon is formed by a tall rock that envelopes the valley at the end of the Hike We  can appreciate the twin peaks or (peñas Gemelas ) that are almost two identical peaks at opposite sites at this site you´ll have an astonishing view and you ll be amazed by the sensation of being between this two giants.

The  waterfalls at Apoala are  of beatiful light blue color. This is because of the light concentration of the aluminum present in the water.  The two waterfalls present at Apoala let you see the might of nature and in each waterfall there is a natural pool in which you can take a cold bath.  There is an extra hidden pool that most tours don’t include which tends to be empty and offers a more relaxing experience that We´ll visit in this experience. After enjoying the waterfalls We´ll have lunch in one of the restaurants  of the community where you will be able to taste the cuisine of Oaxaca with a twist from what you are used to since this Region has a different gastronomy than the Valleys. After the meal We’ll be ready to go back to Oaxaca.
