Not Just a faceless  company

We are a small company made up of locals from Oaxaca, with a deep connection to the region. We come from indigenous families that have been part of Oaxaca for centuries. We share a passion for nature, as well as for the rich history and culture of our land. We’re introducing each member of our team so you can see that we are a family—not just a big, faceless company. Here you are going to see what makes each of us unique, our passions and our backgrounds.

Our Team Members

Ivan Hernandez.

I am an outdoor and adventure lover.  I love to discover different places and things to do. I am also a food lover and a History Geek. I  am a curious guy in general. My family comes from a town in  the Mountains of the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca. I was raised in the city but I never lose contact with the Zapotec traditions.  When I visit the town of my ancestors I really enjoy the views and the nature.  Hiking gives me a lot of peace and is one of my favorite things to do. I have explored multiple trails and  I have challenged different situations  at the mountains that have given me confidence and the skills to make others feel safe.

I have led hikes and Outdoor experiences for a While and I would love doing  this for a living  and not only to take guests to beautiful places   but also to make them connect with the nature as I do and enjoy  and share them about my Zapotec culture what my grandmother use  to cook on our village and the vision of the indigenous living in Oaxaca

Jorge Solana

Outgoing, talkative, and always eager to connect. I love traveling, meeting people, and sharing authentic experiences. In 2023, I cycled across Mexico, a journey that transformed me and helped me define who I am and who I want to become.

My roots are deep and diverse: Zapotec from the Istmo region and Mixe from the Sierra Mixe. This heritage connects me to a rich cultural, linguistic, and gastronomic tradition that I enjoy sharing with those around me. English, which I’ve spoken since childhood, is a bridge for me to connect with the world and enrich my relationships.

Yarazeth Esteva

Hi, I’m Yarazeth, but my friends call me Yara. I’m a curious, talkative, and enthusiastic girl who loves walking, hiking, and meeting new people. I also love sharing my culture, food, history, and traditions with people from other countries.
My family and I are from two different regions of Oaxaca—Zacatepec, which belongs to the Sierra Mixe, and Choapam, which belongs to the Papaloapan region (Zapotec zone)—so I grew up with both cultures, traditions, and beliefs. This gives me the opportunity to learn more about the diverse and multicultural communities that we have in Oaxaca. Also, English gives me the opportunity to share this with people from other countries.

I have been sharing my culture since 2023, when, after the pandemic, I decided to learn English to share everything I know about Oaxaca with my foreign friends.
