PRESENTATION
Hi! I’m Yarazeth, and I’m 26 years old. I’ve been living in Oaxaca City since I was a child. My parents are from two different communities—my dad is from the Mixe region, and my mom is from Choapam, a Zapotec town. They moved to Oaxaca City when I was just two months old.
I’ve been learning English since 2021. After that, I decided to meet new people and make more friends from different parts of the world. While doing so, I discovered that many people who visit my city don’t try the traditional meals or drinks. That’s when I started thinking about this project. I began showing my friends the variety of food and drinks that Oaxaca has to offer.Now, I would love to show you not only my city, but also the food, drinks, and desserts by visiting the markets where Oaxacan people do their shopping.
We will visit three different markets, where you’ll have the opportunity to experience the flavors of traditional Oaxacan cuisine:
WHAT THE TOUR INCLUDES:
Traditional drinks: Tejate, Tepache, Atole
Food: Empanada or Memelas ( Hand made tortilla with a filling), Tamal,
Snacks: Chapulines, Bread,
Price: $700 MXN per person, this includes the meals and beverages, we give a 20% off to a group of 4 people, (the discount is for every member of the group of 4). It lasts: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
